Hello, again! I’m Jasmine, a software engineer turned User Experience Researcher.

While working on a B.S. in Computer Science from Georgia Tech, my innate curiosity, interest in psychology, and front-end development experience quickly turned me into a passionate user advocate.

Sometime during my last couple of years at Georgia Tech I read Don Norman’s Design of Everyday Things. I never looked a door the same way, and I quickly learned that UX Research was what I’d been looking for all along.

Now that I’ve completed my M.S. in Human Centered Design & Engineering from University of Washington, I’ve been able to deepen my research expertise and make the pivot into the career I’ve felt aligned with all along. But it wasn’t necessarily easy or straightforward…

Outside of Work

I’ve been dancing lindy hop and east coast swing for almost 10 years now! I’ve never taken a formal class, but people say I’m pretty good.

I’m a pet foster parent! I’ve always had animals in my life. Since moving to Seattle, I’ve been able to help three cats and three dog find their fur-ever homes. I love giving animals with tough backgrounds a soft place to land. Certainly, I’ll foster fail one day.

I love to eat! This includes trying out restaurants - hit me up for Seattle suggestions - and cooking super intricate meals with my friends.

In an effort to have more creative outlets, I’ve taken up cross-stitching since the pandemic started. I used to cross-stitch during my summers with my aunt when I was growing up, so it’s been fun to get back into.
